Stretching Exercises for Plantar Fasciitis
Plantar Fasciitis is really awful and painful condition. For those who don’t know, it an inflammation of plantar fascia, a thick connective tissue that supports the arch of the foot. Anyway, I have it from time to time and it’s really annoying. My heel is as hard as a shoe’s. It’s painful, it itches, burns,… ![]()
Possible cause could be the winter shoes I wear, or long standing and walking.
Anyway, I found a stretching exercise which is apparently helpful. I’ll try it right away.
Here’s what I should do:
- While sitting I will place palm over the toes and ball of foot
- I’ll pull the foot towards me, stretching the bottom of the foot
- I’ll hold the foot for 30 to 60 seconds and then release
- I will repeat the exercise 5 times per session (3 sessions per day)
I also found alternative way with a towel, which I should loop around the ball of the foot and use it to pull and stretch the foot.
I’ll post the results.
